Roscoe Morgan - Mandolin

Shadow Ridge like many other bands has maintained its quality and music style with some of the very best musicians and singers in the business, helping it to become the success it is today in the bluegrass music world. And now we are proud to welcome a new addition, Singer and Mandolinist, Roscoe Morgan, Jr. Roscoe was born in Rockcastle County, KY and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. By the time he moved to the East Tennessee area he was already schooled in traditional bluegrass and has played all the bluegrass instruments since the '70s. Equally knowledgeable in other forms of music, and self-employed as a music instructor, Roscoe brings a tenor vocal to Shadow Ridge that pays tribute to his main vocal influences-Ralph Stanley, Bill Monroe and Dave Evans. He is a known performer in the industry, having played with several national touring acts as well as successful regional acts, and is proud to call Shadow Ridge home. Roscoe currently lives in south Blount County, TN with his wife Missy, daughter Bethany, SuperCat and Peach (a beagle). His hobbies are distance walking, rock-n-roll guitar and record collecting.
